On 28 July 1918, Floyd was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in St John (province not stated).  Three months later he was transferred to 16 Field Company, Canadian Engineers in Saint John, Quebec (Likely Saint Jean).

On 12 February 1919, Sergeant Parr departed from Vancouver aboard the S.S. Empress of Japan.  On the 27th, he stepped off the troop ship in Vladivostok, Siberia.  His rank was reduced to Private when he deployed, but was later appointed the rank of Acting Sergeant.

On 19 May 1919, he boarded the S.S. Empress of Russia, returning to Vancouver on 29 May 1919.  Sergeant Floyd Wesley Parr was discharged due to demobilization on 11 June 1919, likely returning to Melbourne, Ontario.
